The Saraswat Granthavali composed by Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj has been translated into Bengali and Odia and is kept for sale at the Ashram’s Saraswat Library for devotees, disciples, and those interested in philosophy. In addition, many books written and compiled by the senior sannyasi disciples and household devotees of Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj are also kept for sale in this library. During the festivals held at the Ashram and at various national and regional devotees’ gatherings, the library and publicity department arrange for the sale of books.
Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj established the Rishi Vidyalaya in the sacred environment of the Saraswat Math, intending to revitalize the Rishi Era, providing a well-structured environment for the spiritual development of young minds through Brahmacharya practice. Under the supervision of Swami Shankarananda Saraswati, the head of the Ashram since 2011, a school named ‘Shree Shreenigamananda Saraswat Veda Vidyalaya‘ has been established. This school is recognized by the Ujjain Sandipani Trust under the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India and is managed directly under supervision. Currently, in this school, ten Brahmin students are studying the Vedas under the teaching of Pandit Shree Yukt Jnanendra Shadangi in the Gurukul tradition, while also being involved in the direct service of Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj and participating in the Rudrabhishek every Monday and homas during Sankranti, thus creating a profound atmosphere.
To implement the great wish of Shree Shree Thakur, arrangements for serving the poor Narayanas will be made during every festival in this departmental ashram, along with midday offerings. On the day of Shree Shree Thakur’s Mahasamadhi, 25 devotees will be served prasadam and given blankets, among other provisions.
In order to give shape to the ideal of living service in Shivajnan as envisioned by Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj, a Saraswat Service Organization has been established in the Odisha departmental ashram. A management committee has been formed for the administration of the aforementioned organization, which has been registered with the government. During the Rath Yatra, Jagara Yatra, and Sakshigopal Anlanabami Yatra, service camps are opened, and small prasadam distributions, along with lemon-salt water distributions, are carried out extensively. To protect from the heat, from April 14 to June 14 of the past year 2024, lemon-salt water will be distributed by the efforts of the ashram residents and student groups, continuing from April 14 of this year.
