One of the ideal initiatives of Shree Shree Thakur Maharaj is to serve the afflicted with Narayan knowledge for successful treatment and to provide advanced health services to the pilgrims visiting the Purushottama Kshetra, as well as to deliver essential health services to the residents of the impoverished areas in the southern part of the city. With this aim, the Shree Shree Nigamananda Hospital and Research Center was established on the occasion of the full moon of Jhulan in the year 1998. Along with this, an Ayurveda department has also been opened to provide services. In this hospital, free medicines are provided along with regular disease diagnosis. Currently, Dr. Niranjan Tripathy serves as the Medical Officer, along with Dr. Maheshwar Dash, Dr. Narayan Mohanty, and Ayurvedic practitioners Mr. Sanjay Raut and Mr. Ranjan Bihari Ray, who are present at various times throughout the week to provide services. Dr. Dhirendranath Shadangi is present on the first and third weeks of every month, providing successful treatment for diseases like diabetes and cancer. In this hospital, the pharmacist Mr. Mahesh Mahapatra and attendant Mrs. Ahalya Pradhan are working. Between 1.4.2024 and 31.3.2025, a total of 2633 patients, including 1065 men, 823 women, and 745 children, have been diagnosed and provided with necessary advice and medicines. Devotees from the ashram, the city of Puri, and some devotees from Odisha and Bengal have unreservedly assisted in this service work, for which we express our gratitude to them. Among those who have donated medicines and conducted camps in the year 2024-25, Dr. Dhirendranath Shadangi has borne the expenses of necessary allopathic medicines, and Dr. Maheshwar Dash has borne all the expenses of Ayurveda, for which we are eternally grateful. Additionally, the cooperation of Mr. Mahesh Mahapatra has also been invaluable. Furthermore, the names of those who provide financial assistance every month are listed below. We pray for the health and long life of all these kind-hearted individuals, along with seeking blessings at the feet of the Lord for their spiritual welfare.
